Petro Ivanovych Prokopovych (1775–1850) was a pioneering Ukrainian beekeeper, inventor, and educator. He created the first frame hive in the world and founded the first professional school of beekeeping in Europe. Prokopovych authored numerous articles and treatises on beekeeping, focusing on hive management, bee breeding, and feeding practices.
